TEAR YOU APART - CHAPTER 2: SAWING
The last thing Rex remembered was violently thrashing around as he was carried away by Lord Sinister, clawing and screaming like a rabid, tortured animal, begging to the point of tears for the other to kill them. At some point during that, though, he managed to tire himself out, and everything beyond that point was a blur.
Just a few hours after that little incident occurred, Rex woke up to find himself lying in a bed, which he immediately realized was not his own.
In dazed confusion, he quickly looked around the room, surveying his surroundings. Rex assumed he was in some sort of guest bedroom, as it was scarcely furnished; only housing a queen-sized bed, an armchair, and a few tables. Very "Victorian Goth", his autistic ass thought. His eyes eventually fell on the lantern that stood on the table beside him. Rex simply stared at it for a while, watching as the flame danced aimlessly within its glass prison.
"...You keep looking at that lamp like a caveman that just discovered fire."
The voice made Rex jump, and he whipped his head around to find Lord Sinister standing in the doorway, arms crossed and that amused look on his face again.
"Y-You... where am I...?" Rex stammered.
"My living quarters, to put it simply. You blacked out after your little temper tantrum, so I did what I believed was most appropriate and brought you here." Lord Sinister made his way to the corner of the bed, causing the mattress to cave under his weight as he sat down next to the other.
"...So you brought me here instead of what I was begging you to do in the first place...?"
Lord Sinister's expression faltered for a split second. "...That is correct." He muttered.
Rex went eerily quiet once they heard that, which made Lord Sinister a little worried. He scanned their face for any sign of how they felt, but couldn't find a single trace of emotion in their features. He wasn't sure what to do until he heard their breath quiver, and tears began to prick at the corners of their eyes.
Lord Sinister was never one to comfort people, especially not for someone as low as a mere mortal, but he felt the need to say something regardless.
"Hey, no, don't start that. Don't cry, stop crying and look at me-"
Rex eventually listened, bringing his attention back to the other through cloudy vision. He looked exhausted, in more than one sense of the word.
"Look, I don't know what the reason for it is, but to tell you the truth I find myself... unable to go through with your request."
Rex opened his mouth as if he were going to question or argue with the other, but he was quickly silenced as Lord Sinister continued.
"...That being said, I also cannot let you leave here, given that you now know that I'm alive. You don't look like the snitching type, but it would still be too much of a risk given the plans that I have made. Hopefully, you are smart enough to understand what that means for you."
"So what- A-Are you just going to keep me here in your little man cave or something?" Rex questioned.
"Yes, but not without taking a few extra precautions first. See, I'd rather not come back in here to see blood splattered all over my floor." Lord Sinister said as he got up and walked over to a nearby trunk, unlocking it and rummaging through its contents.
Rex only wheezed in mock amusement. "Oh, don't tell me- You're gonna stick me in a fucking straitjacket so I don't hurt myself-"
Lord Sinister then pulled out a straitjacket from the trunk.
"..."
It then took Lord Sinister about 30 minutes to forcibly pull Rex out from underneath the bed and put him into the straitjacket. It was as if he were a cat refusing to let his owner give him a bath, which would be a little amusing, if it weren't for the context of the situation...
"Why do you even own one of these!?" Rex shouted in protest, struggling within his restraints as he was plopped right back onto the bed.
"There wasn't enough room in the dungeon for it, so I figured I would just leave it in here for a bit. Maybe if you live long enough, I'll bring you down there sometime, but until then, stay put. I have important matters that I must attend to." Lord Sinister said as he got up and walked off, shutting the door behind him.
Great. Just great.
